It is no secret that I live in a tiny apartment… So when it comes to decorating I am obviously cramped for space! Not to mention storing seasonal decorations! When the holidays come around it is time to get creative – because not having a tree, is not an option! To me, the best part of the tree is the lights. The subtle twinkle and the cozy glow they add to any room is enough to make me light an “evergreen” candle and but on a little Michael Buble Christmas music ; )
To “set up” this tree, all you need is a few hundred lights about approximately 100 push-pins (okay, so it isn’t totally land-lord friendly)! It might be best to lay out your tree to make sure you have enough lights for your desired height… but I just went for it! It is very easy to adjust and tighten your lights afterwards. I mean you already put 50 pin holes in the wall – what’s a couple more!
The second tree I made is just a simple outline made with washi tape on the pantry door. I figured this would be the perfect spot to display our Christmas Cards! (The tree currently holds a lone bachelorette party invite!) After I made the tree I added yarn (pulled tight!) and tiny clothespins to hold the cards. I will be sure to share a better photo once more cards roll in.
These are a few of my other favorites from across the internet (especially number 3)!
All things… Shuree.
(Another peak at least year’s tree too!)
